| How to use it ? - 1° Select • Choose or not filter and decide to work with the entire name (the extension is included in the transformation) or with the name without extension (the extension is not modified) • Drag and drop a folder, or select one with the “Select” button. The files are listed in the first column. - 2° Built the new name. You can see it, as one goes along, in the second column. Work with the old name or from scratch (Erase button) • add characters at the beginning or at the end • add date and time of creation or modification of files with a chosen format - 3° Delete characters • Digits • Letters • Vowels • The signs other than digits, letters and dots • Replace diacritic characters • Spaces at the beginning and the end of the name (Trim) • All spaces • Dots - 4° Delete text • The first, second, third, fourth, next to last or last word (separed by spaces) • The text before or after what character you want • The text beetween two characters • Suppress or replace illegal characters for Windows files (ie : / * \ “ < >....) - 5° Modify • Replace a word or characters by others for the first occurence or for all occurences. • Insert characters x characters after the beginning or before the end • Write and modify the name one by one. You also can double click on the name - 6° Number • add a progressive number with a step or not, count down if you want • Format number with a fixed number of characters • with alphabetical list - 7° Truncate • keep or delete characters since the beginning or the end of the name. - 8° Change the case • All in upper case • All in lower case • The first letter of each word in upper case, the rest in lower case (Title case) • The first letter of the name in upper case, the rest in lower case (First upper) - 9° Extension • Make the extension visible or not. The real name doesn’t change. • Delete the extension Nota bene : Each operation can be canceled. You can erase the new name and begin again. You really change the name only at the next step. - 10° Rename This operation is irreversible so an alert will ask you to confirm your choice. It’s strongly recommended to back up your files before. |
